In May 2023, I was in Tucson as witness team leader and lead interpreter during an assignment connected with proceedings before the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona.
My role
Locating witnesses, preparing documents, providing language support, and organising and leading the witness team in an international setting. The assignment required an understanding of the context and careful communication among people who did not share a language.
